A Gourmet Chocolate Giveaway! (Closed)
It’s no secret that I have a bit of a sweet tooth, which more often than not involves chocolate. Yesterday, I got distracted by the fancy chocolate bar aisle in one of my favorite specialty markets, and while pondering the options on display, I decided I should absolutely share some of my chocolate obsession with one of you lovely readers… Because, I like you. A lot.
And this is a small, small way to say thank you, for reading, cooking with me, and allowing this little space on the internet to exist. Also, fancy chocolate makes a pretty great stocking stuffer, amiright?
SO, I picked out a collection of gourmet chocolate bars in a variety of flavors. The giveaway includes thirteen chocolate bars, in no particular order:
Pike Place Espresso dark chocolate truffle bar
Oh my S’mores! milk chocolate
Hazelnut crunch milk chocolate
Emerald City Mint milk chocolate truffle
Congo coffee & cream milk chocolate
Pure 70% dark chocolate
Milk chocolate ginger chai
Peace, love & peppermint dark chocolate
Dark chocolate cherry
Peppermint stick dark chocolate
Ginger dark chocolate
Sea salt dark chocolate
and MAPLE BACON.
Yes, maple bacon chocolate.
I’ll wrap them up and send a package off to one lucky winner, which should (hopefully) arrive in time for Christmas!
To enter, just tell me your all-time favorite type of chocolate in the comments below!
The details: Chocolate giveaway open to U.S. residents (or with a U.S. mailing address). Giveaway ends Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 11:59 PST. One winner will be chosen at random and announced on this post, as well as notified by email. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, another winner will be selected.
This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Emily (who loves dark chocolate covered pretzels)! Thank you so much to EVERYONE who entered. I absolutely loved hearing all about your favorite chocolates, and can’t wait to try a few new brands! The winner will be contacted shortly via email.

White chocolate with peppermint, most definitely!
Ohhh this is a tough one! Lately I’ve been really loving hazelnut truffles from Godiva. Anything with nuts and chocolate though!
I love anything dark! Nuts, salt, peppermint, and caramel are all bonuses 🙂
I always come back to milk or dark chocolate with hazelnuts.
I LOVE the chocolate covered potato chips from a specialty chocolatier a couple towns over. The coating is thick and made from quality chocolate. I always look forward to receiving a big box of them on Valentine’s Day 🙂
Earl grey chocolate truffles
You know, I’ve never been one to say no to chocolate and so I’ve never thought about what my FAVORITE chocolate would be, but I’d have to say either Cadbury’s Mini Eggs or their Fruit & Nut bars. Both items remind me of my parents and my childhood. 🙂
It may seem boring, but I like milk chocolate the best. Add in some caramel or peppermint, and it is even better.
Definitely chocolate covered coffee beans.
My all time favorite is Taza Salt & Pepper chocolate. It’s almost impossible to find anymore. Trader Joe’s had a version of it a few years back but they fazed it out.
Dark chocolate! I had some of Michel Cluizel’s in Paris – heaven!
i’m a sucker for deep, dark chocolate. especially with a little sea salt, and some espresso powder. a combination of the best things! although i’ve never tried chocolate and bacon…. so that might be a match 🙂 happy holidays!
My favorite is actually Dove dark chocolate. It just melts in my mouth!
Any combo of chocolate and hazelnut!
My roommate brought chocolate peppermint bark to school (since she’d eaten so much of her family’s, they made her buy her own box and one for the family). Apparently chocolate karma exists because after I started eating it, I couldn’t stop (with her permission, of course).
I love salted dark chocolate, just a little bit is all you need!
Dark chocolate is my go to, whether it is truffles or bars or brownies. Anything dark and rich has my number.
My favorite chocolate ever is this dark chocolate with pink peppercorns that my Dad brought back from a trip to Switzerland. He bought a huge slab of it, but it didn’t last long!
Definitely Brazilian candy called Brigadeiro. Tried to make it recently but just didn’t turn out 🙁
all-time favorite chocolate? that’s so hard. the first thing that popped into my mind was some dark chocolate-coated coffee beans i had a few months ago. they were a gift and i have no idea from where they came! :/
