Description
Fresh and healthy sauteed asparagus with garlic and parmesan – a quick and easy, versatile side dish that’s ready in less than 15 minutes.

- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 bunch (about 1 lb) asparagus, trimmed
- fresh garlic, minced
- kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
- optional: 1 Tbsp finely-grated or powdered Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the asparagus spears in a single layer, and gently roll to coat in the oil. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Add the garlic, and cook, stirring often, until just tender, 1-2 minutes. Add a minute or two for thicker spears. Dust with the Parmesan, if using. Serve immediately.
