Holiday Gift Guide: Cookbooks

Favorite Cookbooks | via forkknifeswoon.com

Cookbooks are one of my very favorite holiday gifts (to both give and receive!), and as usual, I have quite a few on my list this year. I’m always drawn to cookbooks with lots of beautiful photographs, but the ones that end up smudged and earmarked, i.e. used, are full of inspiring, delicious recipes as well.

I’ve rounded up a collection of my favorites from the past year that all hit the mark (along with a couple of new-ish classics I’ve been cooking from lately). How about you? Do you have any cookbooks you can’t live without? I’d love to know your faves!

The Vegetarian Super Bible is already on my list! I hadn’t heard about Madhur Jaffrey’s Vegetarian India but that should be on my list too! I have her older cookbook ‘World of the East Vegetarian Cooking’ and have used it a lot over the years.

These ALL look wonderful. I’ll bet that if I chose just one recipe a day out of each of these, I’d have a new dish every day of the new year!
